Langely 2/9/10

I am at joe's music right now

Buildings within fifty steps of joe's.
> Island thrift 114 anthes street
> Act 2 111 anthes street
> Antique shop 105 anthes street
> Mikes place 219 1st street

So there is not much to say about today, it is very cold and i have no jacket. it is very warm in Joes music, so I decided to step into it. Joes is my favorite store in Langley by far because of its music and the Awesome guitars. A man just walked out of a room and he was carrying a guitar, i asked him if i could hold it, it was a modifighed version of a Jazz-master, my forth favorite guitar. He said that he orderd the body from a place in downtown Everett called USA Custom Guitars, it was beautiful.

Rob the owner had just purchased a Richen-backer guitar that is from 1932. that kind of guitar and that year is arguably the first kind of electric guitar ever made. un- fortunately it had gone through a house flood and sat under water for a great period of time, but he fixed it and is now putting strings on it.

Now I am sitting outside, it is very cold and very few people are walking by. they are all in their cars.

Lewis and Clark

Lewis and Clark were two men that lived in Kentucky. They were called by Tomas Jefferson too explore the new land that the government bought, (The Louisiana purchase).
It was 1803 when they started their journey across a strip of land about one half the size of the state that is now called Washington.

The louisiana purchase was an unknown territory for Lewis and Clark at the time, so they found a Native named sacagewea to guide them across the land.the land was populated with 700 people that were ussualy of the catahulu tribe. This land was also inhabited by horses birds lizards and alot more creatures. Lewis and Clark thought this land was very cold but in some places filled with resorces like food and water. The kinds of foods that Lewis and Clark were fish and some beef such as cattle, deer, elk, rabbit and squirell.

There are alot of ways that Lewis and Clark have effected our lives today, they have explored new land for the early americans and met the indians of the cataholo tribe letting them see some of the first white people. They learned new ways of living and cooking for Americans.
Lewis and Clark have effected us in many ways in the future some good and some bad.

Langley vists

It is very cold and very rainy today on the bench next to the doghouse bar and
it is very hard to stand the rain that is being taken away by the howling wind that chills me to the bone.
As i sit on that cold bench I see the first october leaves on the ground turning gold to silver making a blanket covering the roots of the big oak tree to the left of me. I see a flood of rain leaving the gutters spilling onto the ground forming puddles in the dirt.
I smell the musky and cold smell of morning and the smell of trees flowing
through the air.

Langley 3rd time
In Langley the chill was going strait to my bones and the wind i just couldn't bear.
I went and took many pictures of random stuff ,there was a man walking his silky smooth golden retriever,a woman walking on the beach and an old couple walking to the coffee shop in big coats. I can hear birds in the distance and i can smell BBQ from an unknown source.
I feel very very cold and my hair is going everywhere because of the wind, leaves are blowing everywhere.

I see allot of the students in my class like sarah and Megan and Elisabeth and wyatt. I see a bunny in the tall grass under the tall oak tree sheltering itself from the wind. bellow the dog house there is a muddy old pit that use to be the boxing arena.

Langley 4

It is a very cold day today in Langley and the leaves have abandoned their trees leaving them skinny and limp.
I see clouds in the sky moving very fast because of the restless wind blowing through the air.
I hear birds and crows making noises in the distance and a dog down bellow on the beach barking at rabbits.
I smell the cold salty morning air going through my nose and i smell smoke coming from peoples chimneys.
I feel very very cold because of the piercing wind and the freezing cold rain, I had to take shelter in the entrance of the Dog House.
I see rain falling from the rooftops of the buildings on first street. I see the waves violently crashing onto the concrete shore leaving a shower of mist in the air

Boston Tea party learning meathods review

I think that the story of Johnny Tremain worked much better than the videos because we can follow along while being read to us and we get it two times better. With the video, we could goof off and talk more. With the book Johnny Tremain we got to read a story for a while and keep track of what is happening without jumping through different points of views. With the text book, it just isn't a very interesting way of learning but if you have it read to you than you can kind of relax a little and just follow along.
Things I learned that were interesting were that when the Tea Party happened, it wasn't a Tea Party,20 men dressed up as Indians and talked like indians and then threw all the tea overboard. In the textbook it didn't even mention any of this.

The book Johnny Tremain helped me learn about the Intolerable Acts the most because i liked the book and it caught my attention the most. I think that the book really spoke to me and that helped me understand what it was saying.

The Dog House

At the dog house in Langley i feel a strong breeze of wind carrying the salty smell of the rough Puget Sound water. I see the bright sun breaking itself out of the prison of dark clouds that it was trapped in. I see hawks scanning the water for their next meal as the wind sails across its surface.
At the dog house i can hear waves crashing into the beach bellow us. I can hear the wind whispering into my ears.

Siberian tiger

The Siberian tiger is a very dangerous and rare animal that lives in Siberia.
It has a similar cousin, the lion that lives in africa. This animal takes lots of time hunting down its prey.

The Siberian tiger is a very large and very colorful animal. It is red orange black
and white. these variety of colors help it blend into its environment. This animal has very sharp and dangerous claws which is one way that it hunts and kills its prey, it
also uses its teeth.

This lethal tiger lives in Siberia and it has adapted to its environment quite well.
it can blend in with its surrounding fooling any mammal that it wants including humans. It can kill things almost 2 times bigger than it.

The siberian tiger is going extinked because of its beautiful and expensive fur.
Many natives have made stories about this animal because it has been know to attack humans.

So overall the Siberian tiger is a very colorful animal that lives in Siberia, likes to eat mammals, has very sharp claws, and is very, very dangerous. I chose this animal because of its background and its skills.
